Portal to the Past is designed for teachers and students engaged with ancient history in the Australian Curriculum. The units are problem specific, focusing on ‘hot topics’. Each examines a snapshot of the past — a period or a theme — and provides teachers with the requisite visual and textual resources to engender discussion in class and to enable students to make their own way into the topics.
